This event was part of the 48th annual meeting of the Associated Stamp Clubs of Southeastern Pennsylvania and Delaware. The Special Occasions series, launched in 1987, was a response to the demand for stamps commemorating special occasions throughout the year. The original release booklet contained two panes, each featuring six stamps with popular messages such as "Happy Birthday," "Best Wishes," "Thinking of You," and "Love You."
