Add a touch of whimsy and personality to your invitations and letters with these vintage unused "Love Series: Cherub" stamps. These 55¢ United States postage stamps are valid for current use.
Featuring a cherub from Raphael's famous "Sistine Madonna" painting, these stamps were part of a series of six Love stamps released in 1995 - the most for a single year at that point. The cherub design caused controversy among some, who believed that child angels were associated with death, not love. However, the USPS saw potential in the cherub stamps and decided to use them in their Love series. To address concerns, the cherubs were referred to as "cupids" in promotional materials.
Despite the initial backlash, millions of these stamps were sold and remained in use until 1997. Use these stamps to mail your special letters and spread a little love with every stamp!

- Extra postage may be required for envelopes with a wax seal, ribbon, thicker than 1/4-inch, doesn't bend, square shaped, or irregular size

- Gummed stamps should always be applied to your mailing with a glue stick (we recommend Elmer's "Re-Stick" glue sticks)
