On June 27, 2007 the United States Postal Service (USPS) issued these 41 cent stamps for its popular Wedding Series. Part of the Wedding Series, these purple/lavender “Wedding Hearts” stamps were designed by Carl T. Herrman of Carlsbad, California. Artist Nancy Stahl of New York, New York, based her woven stamp designs on memories of a wide range of intertwined objects, including silver charms and old-fashioned garden gates.
The Wedding Series is a multi-year collection of postage stamps issued by the USPS that feature images of love, romance, and wedding traditions. These love-themed stamps are often used for wedding invitations, RSVPs, save-the-dates, RSVP’s, thank you cards, and more.
These unused vintage stamps are perfectly suitable for use as current postage for mailing with USPS, as long as you use the adequate amount of postage to achieve standard postage rates according to the weight of your mailing.

- Extra postage may be required for envelopes with a wax seal, ribbon, thicker than 1/4-inch, doesn't bend, square shaped, or irregular size
- Your local post office will confirm how much postage is required for your particular mailing
- Gummed stamps should always be applied to your mailing with a glue stick (we recommend Elmer's "Re-Stick" glue sticks)
